I broke down the other day and just grabbed a handful of pre-made baby foods (organic, of course). Don’t judge me. Which I know you would never. Those things come in handy while driving on the road or at the park. Because we all know when a kid is hungry they get hungry fast!
Out of the many packets that I’ve purchased I noticed that one contained black beans. Black beans had never come to my mind when making my daughter’s purees. And to my surprise black beans have A LOT of nutritional value. They even have as much antioxidants as blueberries and grapes. Most importantly FIBER! And that means a regular baby is a happy baby. So balancing out your little ones tummies with this black bean and oat puree is just the thing.
Lets make this puree together.
Black Bean and Oatmeal Puree
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup organic black beans
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1/2 organic apple
- 1/4 greek yogurt
Instructions
- Using the Baby Bullet add the beans, oats, apple, and yogurt.
- Push down and blend till a puree.
- If you want it smoother, add 1 tbs of water at a time till it reaches the consistency you like for your baby.
- Feed to your baby.
