Zucchini Raspberry Puree

As soon as babies are born, their minds begin to learn. New sights, new sounds, even the feeling on their fingertips as they start to touch new things. Could you imagine being that tiny in this big world?

Luckily, you’re there to help guide them through it all! And, the old adage is true: it takes a village to raise a child. I’ve been fortunate to have not only my mom and sister around to help, but also my mother-in-law and so many others. I have to say, it’s also nice to have adult conversation to help break up the day from nursing, diapers, and reading baby books all day. It’s nice to have the extra help.

When my little Elle was born, I had to learn how to stop and just enjoy her. So the independent, slightly over-obsessed personality I had had to be put on the back burner. And I wanted to—I was a superhero career woman and wife (a totally awesome thing), but here, I had this tiny baby in my arms to stare at and feed all day. That become my new job! Letting go was the best thing for me and clearing my head to focus only on my baby was what I needed. Not all moms have this luxury. That’s when people really come in: friends, family, loved ones. They help keep you centered, giving your little one the love, care, and attention they need when you’re working, and help lighten your load.

Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom or a busy career momma, this recipe is here to help! Super simple to make and absolutely tasty, your little one will love the delicate flavors and will introduce their palates to a healthy vegetable. You can rest a little easier knowing they’re eating healthy and all without much work at all. It’s a win-win.
